I made us a nice hearty breakfast that consisted of my special egg mcmuffins à la Amanda this morning. It was meant to provide Riley and I with the much-needed energy to set out to Walmart for the “final” pieces to our apartment puzzle. (We’re ALMOST to the settled in stage… almost.)
I decided to invest in a collection of workout items that I’m super excited about.
My bestie Hannah made me a pretty sick workout plan last year that put the resistance in my resistance bands (if you know what I mean), but I figured it was about time I added some new equipment to the mix.
I gave the checkout girl a little arm workout as she scanned my 5 and 10 pounder free weights, my 15lbs medicine ball, some ankle/wrist weights, and a 10lbs plate.
Once we trekked the load up the stairs, Riley and I had our first little couple’s workout.
He’s really amazed me for all the work he puts in on a daily basis. With a schedule as busy as his, it would be really easy to just “not have time”, but he always finds a way to fit it in.
I took up kickboxing recently, but hopefully this new equipment will enable me to workout alongside Riley more often and up my frequency. We’re doing pretty good though especially with all this moving (did someone say “The Movement”?) and the walking we’ve been doing recently.
Now that I’ve graduated and work an 8-5 office job, it’s important to work in healthy choices to my routine. I’m super pumped about it!
My quote of the day is: “Sweat more, bitch less.” ’cause why not.
