Going Gold at LaRonde

I’ve been to LaRonde close to 10 times. We tried counting yesterday, but the heat made it difficult to concentrate as far as 6 years back…

A friend from work told me about the online deal that offered the “gold passport” for 40% off making it only $51 if you purchase 2 or more. If you’re still not convinced of the deal, let me inform you that a water bottle (and parking pass) was included!

Uh… can someone yell “SAVING THE MONEY”?

Naturally, I bought two for Riley and I.

We are now Gold Passport Members at LaRonde for the entire duration of the 2016 season. Woohoo!

I have come to realize, that it isn’t fair to myself (nor the people who choose to accompany me) to just go for a day. The reason for this being that I never know how my stomach is going to handle the day in question.

I’m that kind of girl who brings extra gravol to the park… never knowing if that ONE ride is going to set me off.

There are certain rides that experience has led me to avoid. Anything that goes forward then backwards is off limits by default. The pirate ship is a BIG no-no.

We rode one ride yesterday: The Goliath.

A new feature has been added where the ride is a “virtual roller coaster experience”, but we opted for the traditional route (partially because the line was shorter, and partially because I was scared to try it on my first day at LaRonde of the season).

We managed to get a healthy glow from the sun from the waiting line (thanks SPF 30 for limiting this to the glow!) and had a blast on the ride.

I blamed it on the Strawberry Poptarts, but in reality I’m just an amusement park wuss.

We packed it in since I was feeling a little woosy.

Good news is that we get to go back!

Might I add that we have two sets of EXTRA coupons for being gold, so we are currently taking applications to fill out our “free friend passes” from now until November.
