Friday, April 28th:
In four months from now, I will be enjoying a nice afternoon snack in the city of Paris.
I took the day off today partially because my vacation period is ending and I had 1 day left to take, and partially because I thought it would be nice to enjoy the sun for once.
I love taking walks to Starbucks with Val on our lunch hour, but 30 minutes outside is not nearly enough.
Rain rain has NOT been going away these past few weeks and clouds have been cramping everyone’s style.
On a particularly light rainy day this week, Riley had flowers delivered to me at work. #SweetheartAward
I was so surprised, and somewhat embarrassed at everyone poking fun at the idea of me having a secret admirer. Not so secret folks!
They sat on my desk all day and I couldn’t stop smiling at the pair of red roses in a beautiful vase. Apparently, they are called You & Me roses when there are two. Learn something new every day…
I decided to bring them home with me since I’m at home more often than I’m at my desk. Plus, there’s something about throwing flowers away when they die that seemed too intimate to do at work. Flower disposals are more of a private thing if you ask me.
Today, my rose-Riley and I are in the country and the sun is shining down on me.
Amazing things are happening all around. Hannah & Jake are finishing exams today. Kelly is getting ready to go to Ireland. MC is killing it *dab* at work. Riley’s dad is getting great news about his health. So much more.
Wedding-wise, almost all guests have already RSVP’d. They’re all getting so excited about the big day and what they’re going to wear, and eat, and drink, and … It’s real.
Same for my bachelorette party. Most of the girls have been getting antsy about what to bring and what to wear and who all is coming and and and. Now that Hannah’s done school and can get back in the groove (haha) I’m sure the hype is only going to intensify.
Summer gets everyone in the best of moods and ’tis (almost) the season.
Riley and I may be going to Vermont tomorrow. WHY DO I LOVE VERMONT SO MUCH?
Big B & T are currently renting a place there for the weekend and the Sweens are making the trip later on today.
It would be fun to check off the states Riley and I have been to as a couple since he loves the U-S of A so much. Make a lifetime of it.. who knows maybe we’ll go to them all!
I have two ‘zines, a 1500-pages Stephen King novel, my wedding idea book, and a whole day of sun ahead of me… but no Internet connection to post this! I’ll have to post at a later date and confuse all my dedicated readers! Oh no! What shall they do!?!? How will they cope?!
Sunday, April 30th:
Spoiler alert. We went to Vermont!
