Shellac Attack

I decided to treat myself last week and get white shellac on my nails.
Growing up, I bit my nails like CRAZY. It wasn’t a nervous tick or anything, I just enjoyed chewing on them.
Things have changed.
Recently, I have been making a huge effort to avoid biting my nails when they get long, because I like the way they look at their longer length. Plus, it makes typing more fun when they make the clickity-click noise as my fingers hit the keys on my keyboard. I’m sure some people find this excruciatingly annoying.
However, I do a lot of typing at work so it makes things a little bit more fun and rhythmic.
Side note: When I googled the correct spelling of “shellac” I also discovered that it’s actually “a resin secreted by the female lac bug, on trees in the forests of India and Thailand. It is processed and sold as dry flakes and dissolved in ethanol to make liquid shellac, which is used as a brush-on colorant.” HUH (Have You Heard?).
The white colour selection was due to my upcoming trip to Toronto with Riley. We’re going to see a Blue Jays game on Sunday at the Rogers Centre. The white nails will perfectly match the white pants I plan on pairing with my jersey.
Yes, I am one of those matchy-matchy people…
The shellac is still going strong and hopefully will last a couple more weeks.
It’s not necessarily something I’ll get in the habit of doing on a monthly basis, but it is always fun to treat myself. Also, M Salon (where I got it done) gave me WINE during the applying process… If that’s not a good example of customer experience level 100, then I don’t know what is.
