October 1st rolled around and we got to open our second date card from Hannah!
This card stated that we had to make a reservation, so we knew it wouldn’t be an insta-date like in September which took place the following day.
We opened our envelope to find:

We were going to Paint Nite!!!
I’d wanted to try this activity for SO LONG! Hannah strikes again!
There were two Groupon vouchers inside the envelope that allowed us to make a reservation at any restaurant to enjoy the Paint Nite Montreal experience.
How it works: You select the specific painting you’d like to paint and reserve at the restaurant the artist is holding the session at.
One of the nights in October was a WOLF PAINTING!! We selected that one, for obvious reasons, and painted these beauties:

The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived. We went to a location on Nun’s Island. I was expecting there to be dozens of people at the Paint Nite event, but we were only six painters and one artist.
Our artist, Bev, walked us through the painting process and it was much easier once we got the hang of the step-by-step method.
Riley took a swig of his paint water by accident (who puts paint water in red solo cups, it’s just asking for trouble!), but spit it out quickly when he realized it was not his pint of Goose Island IPA.
I was so concentrated the entire time, I barely chatted with my date! Sorry husband, it was all in the name of art!
Now we have two beautiful wolf paintings. His and her wolves.
I would strongly recommend going to a Paint Nite near you. If you’re in the Montreal area, use the code BEV40 to get 40% off your experience.
Happy painting!
