Our December date was filled with the spirit of Christmas! ;)

I'm posting about this a little late, since we actually had our date one week ago.
December: the month where time just slips away from you... am I right?
It was the perfect lazy Sunday afternoon date; making gingerbread houses and cuddling up with some hot chocolate!

Our houses turned out pretty good! They look nothing like the pictures on the box, but I think that's half the fun.
While we were waiting for the houses' foundations to dry, we watched some of the Christmas movies on my list (from my previous post).
Side note: we're making great progress on that list! I'm impressed.
I shotgunned the crème brûlée hot chocolate and Riley had the cinnamon bun flavour. We were both happy with ours after having a taste of both. I love when it all worked out for the best!
We had a blast making two different "gingerbread neighbourhoods" (our kit came with enough pieces and material for four different house styles). Two of the four houses ended up looking amazing, and the remaining two look... less than desirable haha.
There's definitely no chance that we'll sneakily be eating the candy off them, since it was rock-hard when we started the craft. Riley still debated the idea though... if that counts for something.
It's crazy to think that this is our last date of the year!
Our 2017 has been filled with its fair-share of way-high ups and deeply-low downs, but these dates have always been something to look forward to every month.
Soon we'll be counting down the dates until our one-year wedding anniversary. EEEEK. <3
